The windy park of Cotentin in service since 2004, is situated on the municipality of Sortosville-en-Beaumont in 130 m of height on the locality « Moulin à vent « .
The development of this project was driven in the strict respect for its environment. Landscaped studies, floristiques and faunistiques were realized and notably concerned insects, batrachians, mammals and birds of the site.
The production of electricity is esteemed at the 20GWh / year. The windy park of Cotentin allows to save approximately 6 000 tons of CO ² a year and feeds with appropriate electricity needs of about 9 000 persons every year.
