The Hydroelectric company De La Courbe is an owner of a law of water allowing her to exploit  the hydro-electric power of the Orne to COSSESSEVILLE ( 14 ).

 

 

 Description of the work:

The hydroelectric micropower plant De la Courbe which works along with the current is situated in the South of the department of Calvados, on the municipality of Cossesseville, in border of the river of the Orne.

As indicates it the name, the dam is downstream to a big meander. The factory is situated in right bank.

The height of fall is 4,4 m.

 

 

Installed power: 1200 KW

Annual production averages: 2 730 000 KWH

Types of machines: 2 turbines Kaplan (2 x 300 KW) – 1 turbine Mecamidi ( 600 KW)

Starting date: 1980
