Présentation:
The SNC MAHIEU AND CIE company runs since 1984 a hydroelectric power plant, in left bank of the MEURTHE, at the level of the municipality of BLAINVILLE-SUR-L’EAU.
Description of the work:
The power plant is equipped with 3 turbines in functioning: 2 of the type Kaplan and 1 of the type Francis.
The chamber of water of the group Francis serves at present as discharge in case of floods. After passage in turbines, the water passes in transit via a channel of leak of 560 m before falling back in the Meurthe.
The roadblock is implanted on the Meurthe in the kilometric point 42.7, 3.0 km to the approval of its confluence with Mortagne.The site allows the hydroelectric power production by the diversion of a part of waters of the Meurthe.
The height of fall is 3,9 m.
